The park should be open approximately May 15 through September 30 from
8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily
No trespassing shall be allowed after posted hours!

Park Facilities

The park features lots of playground equipment, a
softball/little league baseball field, 2 tennis courts, 3 volleyball courts,
2 small picnic shelters, 4 large pavilions with grills, tables, electricity,
and public restrooms. (See Photos page for
pictures)
The four large pavilions are available by reservation
only. When the pool office is open (1st week in June to 3rd Sunday in
August) you may call 815-747-3100 or visit the pool to make reservations.
When the pool is closed (September through May) you can make reservations by
calling 815-747-2105 and ask for Deb VanOstrand.

Park Rules

Parking is not permitted on grassy areas. Please
park on hard surfaces only.

No firearms (including BB guns or air rifles) are
allowed within the park areas.

No off-road vehicles are allowed within the park areas.

The four large pavilions are available by reservation
only.

Pavilions must be left clean and in good condition.
Garbage must be bagged and deposited in the nearest dumpster. Please
turn off the pavilion and restroom lights and water when leaving. A
fee will be charged for any damages and/or for excessive clean-up of your
reservation area.

Pets are allowed in the park, but they must be under
the owner's control at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning
up after their pets.

All grills, hog roasters, etc. are to be used outside
of the pavilions.

Organizations wishing to use Dunleith field or other
park facilities for their programs must submit a written request, furnish
proof of insurance, and name Dunleith Park as an "additional insured" on
their insurance policy.

KEG BEER IS ALLOWED IN DUNLEITH PARK BY PERMIT ONLY!
A keg beer permit issued by Dunleith Park District is a legal document which
allows you to have keg beer within the park in the area of your reservation
only, on a specific date and time basis. By signing the permit, you
incur a three-part liability: for the safety of you guest, for the
enforcement of laws regulating the consumption of alcohol by minors, and for
damage or excessive clean-up in or near the area of your pavilion
reservation. Dunleith Park District reserves the right to charge a fee
to cover the cost of damages or excessive clean-up.

Park Facts
Dunleith Park District was organized in 1970. The
park and pool were completed in 1975 as part of a Federal Conservation Grant
administered by the State of Illinois Department of Conservation.
These facilities are maintained on a continuing basis through local tax
dollars. Dunleith Park District offers equal opportunities to all in
regard to both recreation and employment. The Dunleith Park District
Board of Commissioners will prosecute to the
fullest extent possible under Illinois Statutes anyone who willfully causes
the destruction of park property by acts of vandalism or other means.
NOTE: The Illinois Statutes allow for parental prosecution if acts of
vandalism are committed by a minor.
What can you do to prevent vandalism in your park???
1) Get a vehicle license number or be able to
make a positive identification of an individual
2) Contact the Jo Daviess County
Sheriff at 815-777-2141 or contact the Dunleith Pool Office at 815-747-3100
